Internal filters setup (of
the system) and the reading of messages
The EmC when installed, possesss some standard
patterns for spammers verification . It looks for to discover, through
some rules, if the message was sent by spammer.
You can modify these patterns clicking in the corresponding box, as shown
in the figure above.
From:
equal To:
If box relative to the this filter is marked the EmC will indicate, in
the yellow color, all the messages whose senders email address is equal
to the addresses.
To: domain is not equal to your email domain
If box relative to the this filter is marked, the EmC will indicate, in
the yellow color, all the messages whose domain of the email address is
different of your email domain address.
Blank From: and To: (In this in case delete message)
If box relative to the this filter is marked the EmC will indicate, in
the yellow color, all the messages whose "from" and "to"
addresses are blank. Repair that in this line we have another box. If
this box is enabled the EmC will delete all messages in the provider.
In this case the messages cannot be recovered.
Blank From:
If box relative to the this filter is marked, the EmC will indicate, in
the yellow color, all the messages whose sender address are blank.
Domain in Reply-to: not equal to domain in From:
If box relative to the this filter is marked, the EmC will indicate, in
the yellow color, all the messages whose address domain in "Reply-to"
is diferent to "From" domain.
Blank subject (In this in case delete message)
If box relative to the this filter is marked the EmC will indicate, in
the yellow color, all the messages whose subject is blank. Repair that
in this line we have another box. If this box is enabled the EmC will
delete all messages in the provider. In this case the messages cannot
be recovered.
Size of message greater than 100Kb
If box relative to the this filter is marked the EmC will indicate,
in the yellow color, all the messages whose size is greater than 100Kb.
Sender is a problabe spammer
If box relative to the this filter is marked the EmC will indicate,
in the yellow color, all the messages whose field before the arroba(@)
in the email address containing a number. The majority of spammers sends
messages with fictitious email addresses and/or numbers before the arroba(@).
Moreover
other spammers types have a fictitious names before the arroba sign send
messages for its domain placing. Thus if you it will have an email of
the type: info@abreuretto.com, spammers will be able to send for its account
following emails: info1@abreuretto.com, info2@abreuretto.com and etc...
So that the EmC can filter this type of spammer you the virtual ones must
also register in the "List of your email addresses " all its
addresses of email. Of this form the EmC will go to compare if the addresse
of the message is registered in the list. If he will not be will mark
the message to be deletede(yellow line). To register in the list your
addresses click in the button " + " and to remove Click in the
button " - ". If the list will be empty the EmC will not execute
this function.
To
add in this list first fill your address of email in the box, as illustrated
above, and after click in the button " + ".
Allways keep all mail account in the MS-Windows registry
The majority of email programs records in the Windows registry information
of the user email accounts. The EmC, to simplify the operation, runs this
option when the box is marked. The EmC looks in the Windows registry all
the existing email accounts recording a list of them without passwords.
The objective is that these accounts, generated from other programs, are
kept by original email software and not by EmC. By this way, these accounts,
cannot be changed, only the password is accepted. If you want to inform
the accounts manually disactivate this option.
Read message body if size is less than xx Kb
When the EmC is installed the standard size for reading messages body
is null (Equal zero). It only reads the messages headers. By this way
the reading is faster the body is not read. Some providers have a function
that deletes all messages after reading. To prevent this we advise you
to use the the pattern way. If want read the body message just click in
the line with de rigth button of mouse.
